Lebanon, Peters March 25, 2016 12:00 AM Two culinary events will showcase various South Hills restaurants while raising funds for educational groups. The 2nd annual Taste of Lebo: Battle of the Appetizers will take place April 16at Clearview Common, Washington Road. The event will feature appetizers and student musical performances from 2 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults ($30 at the door) and $10 for senior citizens and students 6 and older; children 5 and under are free.Tickets can be purchased online at www.mtlsd.org/tasteoflebo.All proceeds will benefit the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education. The 15th annualTaste of the Township in Peters will take place April 29 at Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray. The event from 7 to 11 p.m. will feature food samples from local restaurants, a Chinese auction, and live musicby Luccarelli Jazz.Tickets are available at the librarys circulation desk for $50 per person; cash, credit card, or check payable to TOT Friends of the Library are accepted.Proceeds benefitthe Peters Township Public Library. Also, the Taste of the Township Committee invites area businesses to become sponsors for the event or to donate an item for the silent auction.
